Get Involved
The Golden West Foundation was formed as a separate nonprofit organization in 1986 to enhance the lives of all the residents who live on the Golden West campus and support their ability to remain on the campus if their resources became scarce. The Foundation has provided many types of support for the residents, including purchasing exercise equipment for the wellness room at Flatirons Terrace, providing equipment for residents with impaired vision and hearing, and subsidies for rent and food.
All donations are tax-deductible and can go to the fund of your choice.
The Golden West General Assistance Fund
When you give to the General Fund, you provide flexibility for funds to be directed to the areas of primary need.
The Critical Infrastructure Improvements Fund
With a history of success also comes an aging infrastructure in need of significant maintenance, repair and improvements such as a shade structure for the terrace at Flatirons Terrace, window and carpet replacement in the Towers, and more.
Wellness Fund
This fund provides scholarships for residents who cannot afford the membership fee to the Wellness Center in the Towers, an in-house fitness center supervised by an exercise physiologist, and supports personal needs such as hearing equipment, eyeglasses and walkers.
The Rental and Food Assistance Fund
The Rental Assistance Fund helps cover the gap between inadequate Medicaid reimbursement rates and the cost of providing housing and services to Golden West residents on Medicaid. In addition, food assistance is provided to residents who cannot afford the full cost of the meal program.
