University
Founded in 1877, the University of Colorado at Boulder is one of the most beautiful campuses in the nation. It is also minutes from our front door. Its sports, educational and entertainment venues are some of the best in the region. The University of Colorado at Boulder is the state’s flagship public institution, with faculty, staff, and students and building strong programs in the sciences, engineering, business, law, arts, humanities, education, music, and many other disciplines.
If you have never been to a Buff football game on a sunny fall afternoon, you’ll be treated to one of the nation’s most beautiful venues. The up and coming lady’s and men’s basketball teams are a affordable and easy to access venue, or if you are into culture, you can take in a classical or dance performance at historical Mackey Auditorium or a Shakespeare festival performance at the outdoor Mary Rippon Theater.
Some of the residents audit classes at CU-Boulder. Costs are nominal to audit these classes, and you have the chance to mix and mingle with some young, energetic minds. One of the most entertaining weeks of the year for our residents is the university’s Conference of World Affairs in April. This conference is a free week of mental stimulation where experts from every field imaginable converge on campus to discuss everything from cancer and the justice system to alien encounters and what makes a person attractive.
